“Before this, our Monday morning standup started with someone spending 45 minutes pulling numbers from six different places. Now we walk in and everything is already on screen. The AI layer is something we didn't know we needed until we had it.”

Skid Slayer
The Company
Skid Slayer sells bamboo toilet paper direct to consumer with a punk aesthetic and an omni-channel footprint: Shopify, Amazon, and select retail. Like a lot of fast-growing CPG brands, their operating data lived in six places: QuickBooks, Amazon Seller Central, Shopify Admin, inventory spreadsheets, Meta Ads Manager, and TikTok Ads Manager.
The Challenge
No single view existed. Meta and TikTok reported ROAS on different attribution windows, so cross-channel comparison was unreliable. Shopify and Amazon revenue could not be reconciled to QuickBooks without manual work, and inventory was always 24 to 48 hours stale. The weekly reporting grind ate 12 to 15 staff-hours, and leadership was making calls on incomplete information.
The Solution
Kindwell built a centralized business intelligence platform in VS Code inside an Orion Workspace. It pulls live data from all six sources into one secure dashboard with role-based access: a financial layer on QuickBooks, a commerce layer normalizing Shopify and Amazon to one revenue model, a marketing layer with a standardized 7-day click attribution window across Meta and TikTok, SKU-level inventory sync with reorder alerts, and a conversational agent on top that answers questions like "what was our blended ROAS last week?" without anyone pulling a report.
Orion removed the usual 5 to 8 days of setup overhead. The development environment was ready the same day, credentials ran through platform-native secret management with no keys in code, access control came from the Orion namespace model instead of a custom auth build, and the client reaches the dashboard securely with no VPN.
The Results
Kindwell delivered the platform in 13 business days against an estimated 22 to 28 for a traditional build, at roughly 40% lower project cost by their estimates. Skid Slayer reclaimed 12 to 15 reporting hours a week, cut five daily logins to one dashboard, and now answers cross-channel questions in under a minute instead of roughly forty. Inventory visibility went from a one-to-two-day lag to near real-time, and ad budget decisions moved from weekly to same-day on live ROAS. Kindwell estimates about $22,000 a year in redirected leadership and ops capacity.
